A hundred years in the history of our school is a period to reflect upon. The centenary is a highlight in the history of our school. This school has lived through extremely difficult years, alongside the battles of its community. Several times it was threatened with destruction, but nothing could shatter its firm foundation.
The build on the foundation laid by our predecessors is not an easy task, but what a privilege to be part of a century’s history. The growing pains of a youth make Sabie primary stronger and enabled the school to become the epitome of success.
The small, unique Christian school with its rich history and traditions, has always had a proud standing among other excellent schools in the Lowveld. The school has delivered countless students who later in their lives reached great heights in different fields. We commemorate every individual who helped create the proud traditions of this outstanding school.
What a privilege our students have to attend a school in such magnificent surroundings. It is therefore an easier task to shape them into people who have a sincere appreciation of the beautiful things in life.

From The Principal's Office
I grew up in Swartruggens, a small town in the North West Province. My father was a school principal and my mother was a teacher education is in my blood! I obtained a Bachelor of Education at the NWU in Potchefstroom, and started my teaching career here in Sabie, at Sybrand van Niekerk High School.
As my career progressed I gained invaluable experience in school administration, and that’s where my passion for school management began. The success of any school depends on the smooth running of every aspect behind the scenes, and this can only be achieved with the support and cooperation of the Governing Body and Staff. Each learner has their own dreams and strengths, and it is our duty to help them become the best version of themselves.
My goal is to lead by example with strong Christian values as we guide each child through their primary school career and encourage them to be responsible, kind and-well-balanced citizens. I hope to maintain Laerskool Sabie Primary’s stellar reputation within the community as a beacon of holistic child development and education.”
